Activities

Students at Saint Ignatius’ College have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities which involve a range of age groups. In this way students are able to learn and develop relationships with peers in different year levels and schools. This integration across year levels is facilitated by the College House System.

The College Athletics Carnival and Swimming Carnival are the main annual House events.

In the Senior School there is also a House Performance with a drama and music focus, as well as various middle years and senior years lunchtime House activities throughout the year, including Battle of the Bands and Handball Tournaments.

In the Junior School class buddy sessions continue to be an integral part of the school program. Buddy class relationships are often enduring and beneficial for both older and younger students. Cross-year level relationships are further developed on House Day on which classes are reorganised into vertical Reception to Year Six groupings by House, rather than a year level basis.
